Derri\u00e8re des jantes ouvertes, il ne passe plus inaper\u00e7u et donne une impression plus soign\u00e9e, parfois plus sportive. Ce travail reste accessible si vous proc\u00e9dez avec m\u00e9thode et sans pr\u00e9cipitation. Avant de sortir pinceaux et peinture, mieux vaut comprendre ce que vous faites.<\/p>\n<h2>Pourquoi peindre un \u00e9trier de frein ?<\/h2>\n<p>L\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/www.moto-integrator.be\/produits\/etrier-de-frein-1140104\/\">\u00e9trier de frein<\/a> n\u2019est pas con\u00e7u pour \u00eatre d\u00e9coratif. Il serre le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moto-integrator.be\/produits\/disques-de-frein-1140103\/\">disque de frein<\/a> et abrite les <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moto-integrator.be\/produits\/plaquettes-de-frein-1140102\/\">plaquettes de frein<\/a> ainsi que les pistons. Install\u00e9 juste derri\u00e8re la roue, il subit en permanence la chaleur, l\u2019humidit\u00e9, le sel et la poussi\u00e8re de frein.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>variations rapides de temp\u00e9rature,<\/li>\n<li>gravillons et projections,<\/li>\n<li>sel en p\u00e9riode hivernale,<\/li>\n<li>r\u00e9sidus d\u2019abrasion issus du freinage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Avec le temps, la fonte s\u2019oxyde en surface et l\u2019\u00e9trier prend un aspect terne. Cela ne remet pas en cause son efficacit\u00e9. Un \u00e9trier l\u00e9g\u00e8rement rouill\u00e9 continue de freiner parfaitement. En revanche, visuellement, surtout derri\u00e8re des jantes en aluminium ajour\u00e9es, l\u2019ensemble peut para\u00eetre n\u00e9glig\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Sur des roues pleines ou \u00e9quip\u00e9es d\u2019enjoliveurs, l\u2019op\u00e9ration n\u2019a pas vraiment d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat. Mais d\u00e8s que les freins deviennent visibles, par exemple avec des jantes fines ou des disques ventil\u00e9s, un \u00e9trier propre et peint apporte une coh\u00e9rence esth\u00e9tique \u00e9vidente.<\/p>\n<h2>Que disent les fabricants ?<\/h2>\n<p>Certains fabricants comme Brembo d\u00e9conseillent clairement de repeindre leurs \u00e9triers. Ils \u00e9voquent la s\u00e9curit\u00e9, la garantie et la protection contre la contrefa\u00e7on. Leurs mod\u00e8les sont d\u2019ailleurs d\u00e9j\u00e0 trait\u00e9s en usine avec une peinture haute temp\u00e9rature adapt\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Sur un syst\u00e8me haut de gamme d\u00e9j\u00e0 peint, il vaut mieux ne rien modifier. En revanche, pour un \u00e9trier de s\u00e9rie brut, il reste possible d\u2019am\u00e9liorer l\u2019aspect, \u00e0 condition d\u2019utiliser des produits adapt\u00e9s et de respecter les r\u00e8gles de base.<\/p>\n\n<h2>D\u00e9monter ou laisser l\u2019\u00e9trier en place ?<\/h2>\n<p>La solution la plus simple consiste \u00e0 peindre l\u2019\u00e9trier mont\u00e9. C\u2019est rapide et suffisant si vous recherchez un rendu propre \u00e0 l\u2019\u0153il nu.<\/p>\n<p>En revanche, si vous \u00eates attentif aux d\u00e9tails, le d\u00e9montage permet un travail plus pr\u00e9cis. Un \u00e9trier en place limite l\u2019acc\u00e8s pour un nettoyage approfondi et un pon\u00e7age correct. La rouille superficielle reste visible sous la peinture si la pr\u00e9paration n\u2019est pas soign\u00e9e. Le choix d\u00e9pend donc surtout du niveau d\u2019exigence que vous vous fixez.<\/p>\n<h2>Choisir la bonne peinture<\/h2>\n<p>Utilisez exclusivement une peinture con\u00e7ue pour les \u00e9triers de frein. Elle supporte la chaleur \u00e9lev\u00e9e, les projections de gravillons, le sel et les contraintes m\u00e9caniques. Une peinture classique pour carrosserie ou radiateur ne tient pas dans ces conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Ces produits restent abordables et la quantit\u00e9 n\u00e9cessaire est limit\u00e9e. Il n\u2019y a donc aucune raison d\u2019opter pour une solution improvis\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<h2>Peindre l\u2019\u00e9trier mont\u00e9 : m\u00e9thode pratique<\/h2>\n<p>Les kits d\u00e9di\u00e9s contiennent en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>un nettoyant pour freins,<\/li>\n<li>une brosse m\u00e9tallique,<\/li>\n<li>une peinture bi-composant,<\/li>\n<li>un pinceau,<\/li>\n<li>des gants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>L\u2019application au pinceau reste la m\u00e9thode la plus s\u00fbre. Une bombe a\u00e9rosol augmente fortement le risque de projections sur le disque, les plaquettes ou les capteurs ABS. Sur un syst\u00e8me de freinage, la pr\u00e9cision est indispensable.<\/p>\n<h3>Mettre le v\u00e9hicule en s\u00e9curit\u00e9<\/h3>\n<p>Levez la voiture correctement et placez-la sur des chandelles stables. Le cric seul ne suffit pas. Desserrez les boulons de roue avant de lever le v\u00e9hicule pour \u00e9viter de forcer ensuite.<\/p>\n<h3>Retirer la roue<\/h3>\n<p>D\u00e9posez la roue et placez-la \u00e0 plat. Vous devez travailler avec un acc\u00e8s d\u00e9gag\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h3>Nettoyer soigneusement<\/h3>\n<p>Appliquez du nettoyant pour freins puis brossez manuellement l\u2019\u00e9trier. Enlevez les r\u00e9sidus et la rouille de surface. Travaillez \u00e0 la main, sans outil \u00e9lectrique, pour garder le contr\u00f4le.<\/p>\n<h3>Prot\u00e9ger les surfaces sensibles<\/h3>\n<p>Masquez le disque de frein avec du ruban adapt\u00e9 au-dessus et en dessous de l\u2019\u00e9trier. \u00c9vitez toute projection sur les surfaces de friction.<\/p>\n<h3>Appliquer la peinture<\/h3>\n<p>Posez la peinture en couches fines avec des mouvements crois\u00e9s. Travaillez progressivement, sans surcharge. Corrigez imm\u00e9diatement les coulures. Ne touchez ni au disque, ni aux plaquettes, ni aux soufflets.<\/p>\n<h3>Laisser s\u00e9cher<\/h3>\n<p>Respectez scrupuleusement le temps de s\u00e9chage indiqu\u00e9. Si n\u00e9cessaire, appliquez une seconde couche apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9lai recommand\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h2>Peindre l\u2019\u00e9trier d\u00e9mont\u00e9<\/h2>\n<p>Le d\u00e9montage demande davantage de connaissances. L\u2019\u00e9trier fait partie int\u00e9grante du circuit hydraulique. Une purge sera n\u00e9cessaire apr\u00e8s remontage.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019avantage reste la pr\u00e9paration plus compl\u00e8te : nettoyage approfondi et pon\u00e7age uniforme \u00e0 la main avec du papier abrasif. N\u2019utilisez jamais de mastic. Vous travaillez sur un \u00e9l\u00e9ment de s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s pon\u00e7age, nettoyez de nouveau au nettoyant pour freins afin d\u2019\u00e9liminer toute poussi\u00e8re. Appliquez ensuite la peinture sur une surface parfaitement s\u00e8che. Lors du remontage, purgez le syst\u00e8me de freinage correctement.<\/p>\n<h2>Un r\u00e9sultat soign\u00e9 sans d\u00e9penses excessives<\/h2>\n<p>En atelier, ce type de prestation peut co\u00fbter plusieurs centaines d\u2019euros. Avec un kit adapt\u00e9 et un peu de temps, vous obtenez un r\u00e9sultat propre pour un budget bien plus raisonnable.
