Ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e9lectronique permet de booster \u00e0 la fois la puissance et le couple du moteur en exploitant les r\u00e9serves thermiques et m\u00e9caniques pr\u00e9vues par le constructeur. Des programmateurs peu scrupuleux falsifient parfois les donn\u00e9es de l&rsquo;ordinateur de bord. De cette mani\u00e8re, l&rsquo;\u00e9cran affiche des valeurs de consommation de carburant artificiellement basses, alors que le moteur consomme en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 la m\u00eame quantit\u00e9, voire davantage.
