Cette absence de cadre permettait l&rsquo;entr\u00e9e sur le march\u00e9 de produits bon march\u00e9, souvent en provenance d&rsquo;Extr\u00eame-Orient, qui ne satisfaisaient pas aux exigences de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 europ\u00e9ennes. Pour corriger cela, les autorit\u00e9s ont instaur\u00e9 la norme ECE R90 il y a plus de 20 ans. Ce r\u00e8glement d\u00e9finit des crit\u00e8res de qualit\u00e9 rigoureux, tr\u00e8s proches de ceux des pi\u00e8ces d&rsquo;origine (OE). Dans cet article, vous d\u00e9couvrirez les exigences impos\u00e9es aux disques i aux tambours de frein oraz comment identifier rapidement les pi\u00e8ces certifi\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<h2>L&rsquo;\u00e9volution de la norme ECE R90 : un gage de s\u00e9curit\u00e9<\/h2>\n<p>La Commission \u00c9conomique pour l\u2019Europe (CEE) a introduit la norme R90 le 1er avril 2001. Ce texte fixe les exigences minimales pour la fabrication des pi\u00e8ces de freinage de rechange. D\u00e9sormais, les plaquettes et les m\u00e2choires de frein certifi\u00e9es doivent offrir des performances identiques \u00e0 celles des composants d&rsquo;origine install\u00e9s par le constructeur. Les tests se concentrent principalement sur l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 du freinage et la r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la chaleur.<\/p>\n<p>En novembre 2016, le l\u00e9gislateur a \u00e9tendu la norme ECE R90 aux disques et aux tambours de frein. Cette \u00e9volution vise avant tout \u00e0 renforcer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des automobilistes. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette certification, vous identifiez imm\u00e9diatement les produits fiables pour une utilisation sur les routes europ\u00e9ennes et lors du passage au contr\u00f4le technique en Belgique.<\/p>\n<h2>Les exigences de qualit\u00e9 impos\u00e9es par la norme ECE<\/h2>\n<p>Pour obtenir la certification ECE R90, les fabricants doivent prouver que leurs produits respectent des standards stricts. Ils soumettent \u00e9galement leur production \u00e0 des audits et des tests permanents. Les plaquettes et les patins de frein doivent notamment garantir :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Un coefficient de frottement \u00e9quivalent \u00e0 celui de la pi\u00e8ce d&rsquo;origine.<\/li>\n<li>Une r\u00e9sistance optimale \u00e0 la pression, au cisaillement et \u00e0 la charge m\u00e9canique.<\/li>\n<li>L&rsquo;absence totale d&rsquo;amiante dans les mat\u00e9riaux de friction.<\/li>\n<li>Un emballage scell\u00e9 pour garantir l&rsquo;int\u00e9grit\u00e9 du produit.<\/li>\n<li>La pr\u00e9sence visible du num\u00e9ro de contr\u00f4le ECE sur l&#8217;emballage et sur la pi\u00e8ce elle-m\u00eame.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Des tests rigoureux sur banc d&rsquo;essai<\/h3>\n<p>Les disques et tambours de frein subissent des \u00e9preuves d&rsquo;endurance intensives. Un test classique sur banc d&rsquo;essai impose 70 freinages cons\u00e9cutifs, faisant passer la vitesse de 80 \u00e0 10 km\/h. Les experts n&rsquo;accordent la certification que si les composants sortent de ce test sans aucune fissure, cassure ou d\u00e9formation. Le syst\u00e8me doit maintenir une puissance de freinage constante, m\u00eame sous une contrainte thermique prolong\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Une fois le certificat en main, le fabricant reste sous surveillance. Des organismes de contr\u00f4le ind\u00e9pendants v\u00e9rifient r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement si les pi\u00e8ces remplissent toujours les crit\u00e8res initiaux. Si la qualit\u00e9 baisse, l&rsquo;organisme retire imm\u00e9diatement l&rsquo;homologation.<\/p>\n<h2>Comment reconna\u00eetre les pi\u00e8ces homologu\u00e9es ECE R90 ?<\/h2>\n<p>Le code d&rsquo;homologation permet de reconna\u00eetre facilement les pi\u00e8ces certifi\u00e9es dans le commerce. Vous trouverez ce code grav\u00e9 sur la pi\u00e8ce et imprim\u00e9 sur l&#8217;emballage. Ce marquage vous aide \u00e0 distinguer les composants conformes aux normes europ\u00e9ennes des produits de qualit\u00e9 inf\u00e9rieure.
